He speaks at the DFW International Community Alliance luncheon DFW Today at 11:30 am at the Dallas Public Library on Young St downtown, and will leave immediately at 1pm for the airport.

DEMOGRAPHER STEVE MURDOCK speaks on IMPLICATIONS of 2010 CENSUS in DFW TODAY LUNCHEON on Aug 24
DFW Today luncheon presents new Census analysis by Steve Murdock Honorary Chair Pauline Medrano, Dallas Deputy Mayor Pro Tem, along with two Dallas area mayors proudly invite you to DFW Today, a luncheon that tracks the extraordinary changes in the DFW area's demographic profile. The fourth annual diversity event is organized by DFW International Community Alliance and the Dallas Public Library and is sponsored by Taco Cabana. It will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the J. Erik Johnson Central Library in the O'Hara Room, 1515 Young St, Dallas, TX 75201. The guest speaker is former Texas State Demographer Dr. Steve Murdock (currently Allyn R. and Gladys M. Cline Professor of Sociology at Rice University) who will speak on "DFW Today - Who are we? How've we changed? What are the implications of the 2010 Census on North Texas' continued growth?" Dr. Murdock is a demographer and researcher in public policy areas who will present data from the 2010 Census along with population projections and issues of particular interest to civic and corporate leaders.
